VSAT project

THE VSAT ITALIA PROJECT

The “VSAT Italia” satellite network was designed and developed for the Oil & Gas sector. Implemented with VIPERSAT technology, it combines star-type connectivity with single-pass meshed connectivity. Created for voice/data/fax connections between work sites, offshore platforms and central offices, it has a total of 21 points.
A dedicated monitoring system allows the management and monitoring of the network status in real time.
IThe 24/7 assistance service with on-site intervention times of under 4 hours in case of failure guarantees a high service standard. The SLA for this type of network is 99.9%.

THE SIBERIA PROJECT

The “Siberia” turnkey project involved the design, supply and installation of a mesh-type satellite network for voice/data/fax transmission between four local offices and the management offices in Siberia
The particular geographical location of the sites and the prohibitive climatic conditions made it necessary to take special precautions, both in the network design phase and in the field installation phase.

THE ALGERIA PROJECT

The “Algeria” turnkey project involved the design, supply and installation of a meshed satellite network for voice/data/fax transmission between work sites in the desert and the client’s offices in Italy.
Once the installation was completed, and for the entire duration of the satellite connection service, the system was included in a comprehensive maintenance service plan, including 24/7 Help Desk assistance and on-site technical intervention in case of failure.
The project was implemented in collaboration with a local partner..

THE NORTH SEA PROJECT

The “North Sea” turnkey project involved the design, supply and installation of a point-to-point satellite connection for voice/data/fax transmission between an offshore platform in the North Sea and the client’s offices in Italy.
The interconnection of the Ravenna Teleport (satellite signal landing point) with the client’s site was made via a dedicated connection using Hiperlan technology.
Once the installation was completed, and for the entire duration of the service, comprehensive maintenance service was provided, including 24/7 Help Desk assistance and on-site technical intervention in case of failure. The installation on North Sea platforms involves specialised technicians who have passed specific offshore training courses (such as Bostiet and Mist).
